Good steaks and chops. yummy fish and lobster. Went with 8 people and we ate a third of the menu. Everything was prepared to our liking. Deserts are worth ordering. Lots of items have a smokey flavor. I would recommend having a cigar after ya eat with a fine cognac or scotch if your into that unhealthy behavior.

Phenomenal experience here. The staff at the restaurant was amazing. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The waiter gave the perfect amount of attention for us to enjoy the food and talk. The food was fantastic and cooked perfectly.

Second time .. Are you filtering negative ?We spent over 1000 dollars .It took 3 hours to finish dinner.1 hour for appetizer.1.75 hour for main dish..25 hour for dessert.We had to WAIT.Every time server asked us "who ordered this" ?Main dish .. steak !!! server keep saying "plate is so hot"Yes it was hot but food just warm. of course taste not good.I feel like they prepared food and warmed with plate !!!Do not waste money. too expensive for their food and service.I am ready to leave 3rd time feedback.

Awesome experience!! Came here last night for dinner. Service was great, and the food all came out quick. Everything my friend and I ordered was amazing. The Jumbo Lump Crab cake came with two crab cakes and were pretty big for an appetizer—very tasty. The filet combo, 4 oz. Filet and Seared Sea Scallops was so good!! (Tip: get truffle butter as your steak addition, it’s amazing.). For dessert, the Carrot Cake was delicious, and not too sweet.Oh and I love the fact that there’s hand sanitizer all throughout the restaurant, especially right next to my table. And they have wipes too!

Exceptional service! Was wondering if operations would have been affected by the nearly 3 months that indoor dining was put on hold, but they hadn’t skipped a beat. From entry to exit, everything was great. Food came out quickly and was delicious and our server was attentive, but also respective of space. We were supposed to get married today, but had to reschedule due to Covid. We mentioned this to the hostess and they made dinner extra special with complimentary dessert and champagne. Completely unnecessary and unrequested, but so sweet and attentive. Thanks so much, J. Gilbert’s!

J. Gilbert’s has been reliable for takeout for months. Steaks are always excellent, and sides like mashed potatoes are great accompaniments. Restaurant recently reopened for table service, but we will continue getting takeout.

This place is no doubt one of the tastiest place in the region. Every time I come there I am remarkably satisfied. They maintain their very high standard service and the topmost level of meals they offer. You can never go wrong with this place. Highly recommended.

Had a good time here for a family dinner. The restaurant ambience is reminiscent of "Blackies" of yore. Both the portions and prices are reasonable. The drinks were heavy pour. The surf n turf plate is excellent! A strong recommend.

Every single item on our plates was incredible. Service was wonderful, and even gave us a free dessert after finding out it was our anniversary. Highly recommend--will be back as often as our wallet allows.

Really nice inside. Great customer service! We came here during restaurant week and impressed. I ordered steak medium should have gone with medium rare. Pasta an salmon were good too. Desserts are all good.
